Security Officer II/ Security Manager Support
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Process security nomination packages, develop, and deliver security indoctrination briefings and debriefings, the review of DD254s as part of the industrial security program, and ensure all documentation in the in-processing and out-processing packages are accurate and up to date. Expect to process approximately forty nominations and indoctrinations monthly and approximately twelve debriefings monthly.
- Maintain and update the automated Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and replacement databases. Process classified visit requests received daily via DISS for personnel attending classified meetings. Process security verifications for System Access Authorization Requests (SAAR). Process all incoming and outgoing visitor requests daily. Verify clearance status for Intelligence Community partners in Scattered Castles. Assist the Insider Threat program manager. Expect to process approximately 250 of these requests monthly.
- Prepare and protect security files for approximately 900 personnel. Establish, update, and develop inclusive administrative office processes and standard operating procedures. Maintain a comprehensive suspense file system on clearance, access suspensions, denials, or revocations in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with implementing the Security Education Awareness training program and developing security education bulletins, directives, security plans, procedures, and controls. Expect to deliver training on a weekly basis.
- Assist with the physical security management of approximately forty (40) facilities throughout the National Capital Region (NCR). This includes facility accreditation, reaccreditation, self-inspection program and access control to facilities within OUSD. Expect this to be a daily occurrence with approximately 24 actions.
- Assist the Information Security Program Manager in recommendations and implementation actions regarding potential or actual compromise of information; advise staff elements, tenant activities, security managers, and investigating officers in accomplishing required investigative and reporting actions, to include measures to limit the effects of a compromise; recommend appropriate Agency dispositions of potential or actual compromise of classified information. Expect to process fifteen actions monthly.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 4 yrs of relevant experience
Education Requirement:
- B.A./B.S. from an accredited school is required.
Clearance Requirement:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance is required.
